Engineering plastics are widely used across industrial and manufacturing environments as a durable, low-maintenance alternative to metal.

What counts as an engineering plastic?
Materials with mechanical, thermal, or chemical properties good enough to replace metal in working parts: nylon, acetal, PTFE, UHMWPE, and polycarbonate are the ones we stock and machine.
How do I choose the right engineering plastic?
Match the material to the dominant demand: acetal for precision, nylon for toughness, UHMWPE for abrasion, PTFE for chemicals and heat, polycarbonate for impact and visibility. Tell us the application and we will recommend the grade.
Do you machine engineering plastics to drawing?
Yes, CNC routing, lathe machining, and fabrication from sheet and rod stock. One-off prototypes through to production batches, with programs kept on file for reorders.
Can engineering plastics replace metal parts?
Often, yes. Plastic parts run quieter, never rust, need no lubrication in many cases, and are lighter. Bushes, rollers, wear strips, and guides are the classic metal-to-plastic conversions.
Do you supply material certificates?
Material data sheets and food-contact documentation are available on request for materials that carry them, useful for QA and compliance records.
