Poly Parts That Outlast Steel in the Paddock
Farm machinery is full of plastic wear parts doing hard, abrasive work: seeder boots and seed tubes, grain chute liners, auger components, and roller guides that handle grain, fertiliser, and feed season after season. HDPE and UHMWPE outperform steel in most of these positions: they do not rust after a wet season, fertiliser will not corrode them, and their slick surface keeps grain and seed flowing instead of bridging and blocking.
Seeder, Planter, and Harvester Wear Parts
Air seeders and planters run seed and fertiliser through poly boots, tubes, manifolds, and deflectors that wear through on abrasive product. We machine replacements from UHMWPE (tougher than the OEM part in most cases) and reverse-engineer discontinued parts for older machines the manufacturer no longer supports. Header and harvester customers order machined skid shoes, auger trough liners, and elevator paddles to the same pattern.
Once a part is measured and programmed, it stays on file. When the same boot or liner wears out in two seasons' time, the reorder is a phone call, not another measuring exercise.
Grain Handling: Chutes, Augers, and Silo Components
Grain is abrasive enough to wear grooves in steel chutes within a few harvests, and worn steel surfaces slow flow and hold moisture. UHMWPE chute and hopper liners fix both. Grain slides freely over the low-friction surface, blockages and bridging drop away, and the liner outlasts the steel it protects several times over. We cut liner panels to your chute geometry with countersunk fixings that sit flush under the grain flow.
For augers we machine flighting wear edges, hanger bearings blocks, and intake guards, and for silos we supply outlet cone liners and slide gate components machined from solid HDPE rod and sheet.
Feed Trough Liners and Stock Feeding Equipment
Steel feed troughs rust into sharp edges and concrete troughs crack and hold sour feed in the corners. HDPE liner panels cut to your trough profile solve both. The poly surface is smooth, easy to hose out, safe on stock, and inert to silage acids and feed additives. We supply liners for cattle and sheep troughs, feed pad bunks, and mixer wagon internals, cut to length with pre-drilled fixing holes.
Dairies use the same material for rubbing rails, gate wear blocks, and rotary platform components, anywhere steel-on-steel wear or corrosion is a maintenance headache.
Machined to Drawing, Sample, or Photo
Every part is CNC-machined from your drawing, or from the worn part itself. Post us the broken piece or send photos with dimensions, and we will confirm the geometry, machine the replacement, and freight it to the farm. For fabricated items like hoppers, guards, and tanks, our plastic fabrication team welds HDPE assemblies to order.
Freight to the Farm, Anywhere in Australia
