Replacing Cracked or Scratched Amusement Machine Glass

Arcade cabinets, poker machines, jukeboxes, and vending machines all rely on a clear front panel to protect the screen or mechanism while still letting players see the action, and that panel takes a hammering over years of coin slaps, key strikes, and cleaning. When the original glass or plastic cracks, scratches, or clouds over, a custom-cut replacement panel is usually far cheaper than sourcing an original part, especially for older or imported machines.

Perspex Online supplies both acrylic and polycarbonate replacement panels cut to the exact dimensions of the original glass, including any cut-outs for coin slots, buttons, or card readers.

Polycarbonate vs Acrylic for Arcade and Gaming Panels

Polycarbonate sheet is the standard recommendation for amusement machine glass because it is virtually unbreakable compared to acrylic or real glass, an important factor for machines in pubs, clubs, and arcades where knocks and impacts are common. It also resists the scratching that comes from repeated handling far better than standard glass.

For machines with lower handling risk, or where budget is the main driver, clear acrylic sheet is a solid and more affordable alternative, and Acrifix 192 solvent cement can be used to bond acrylic panels into a machine's existing frame cleanly.

Cutting to Fit Original Machine Dimensions

We cut replacement panels from the original glass or a template supplied by you, matching not just the outer dimensions but any curved corners, notches, or mounting holes specific to the machine model. This means the replacement panel drops straight into the existing frame without modification.

For coin-operated and gaming machines, we can also cut matching side or top panels if multiple panels on the same cabinet need replacing at once.

Amusement machine2

Printed Overlays and Decorative Panels

Many arcade cabinets and gaming machines use printed overlay panels around the screen or above the controls, with artwork that identifies the game and adds to the player experience. When original printed overlays are faded, peeling, or damaged, a fresh panel printed or vinyl-wrapped to match the original artwork restores the machine's visual appeal.

We can produce plain clear replacement panels for you to apply your own artwork to, or work with your supplied artwork file to produce a finished printed panel ready to install, including any necessary cut-outs for buttons, speakers, or coin mechanisms.

Bonding and Sealing Machine Panels

Once cut, panels can be bonded using Acrifix 192 for acrylic assemblies, or mechanically fixed with the original screws and seals for polycarbonate panels, restoring the machine to its original protective seal against dust and spills.

Send us the old panel or its measurements and we will quote a replacement cut to the correct thickness and finish for your machine.

Amusement Machine Replacement Glass FAQ

What is the difference between acrylic and polycarbonate for amusement machine panels?
Polycarbonate is virtually unbreakable and better suited to high-traffic venues, while acrylic offers excellent clarity at a lower cost for machines with lower impact risk.
Can you match the exact shape of my machine's original glass?
Yes, send us the original panel or its measurements including any notches, curves, or mounting holes, and we will cut a replacement to match exactly.
How do I bond a new acrylic panel into the machine frame?
Acrifix 192 solvent cement is the standard product for bonding acrylic panels cleanly into an existing frame, giving a strong, near-invisible joint.
Can you cut panels for vintage or imported machines?
Yes, as long as we have the original panel or accurate measurements, we can cut a replacement regardless of the machine's age or country of origin.
Can you produce printed or artwork overlay panels for arcade cabinets?
Yes, we can supply plain clear panels for you to apply your own artwork to, or produce finished printed panels from your supplied artwork file, including any cut-outs for buttons, speakers, or coin slots.
