Machined Food-Grade Plastic Parts That Keep Lines Running
Every food processing line runs on plastic wear parts: scraper blades, paddles, product guides, star wheels, and spacer blocks that contact product and wear out on a schedule. Food-grade HDPE sheet is the workhorse material: it complies with food-contact requirements, does not absorb moisture or harbour bacteria, survives caustic wash-down chemicals, and machines cleanly to the profiles OEM parts need.
Buying these parts from the original equipment manufacturer usually means European lead times and OEM pricing. We machine the same parts locally from certified food-grade material, typically at a fraction of the OEM price and with turnaround measured in days rather than months.
Scraper Blades for Conveyors, Drums, and Mixers
Scraper blades are the highest-turnover machined part in most plants. They run against belts, drums, and mixing bowls all shift and are replaced as routine maintenance. We machine blades from 10-20mm HDPE with the bevel angle, mounting slots, and blade length matched to your existing pattern. For abrasive products or blades running against steel drums, UHMWPE roughly triples blade life over standard HDPE.
Once your blade profile is programmed, reorders go straight to the router. Most customers set a standing reorder for a box of blades each quarter and never run short again.
Paddles, Guides, and Product-Contact Components
Beyond blades, we machine the full range of product-contact parts: mixer paddles and agitator blades, product guides and side rails, hopper and chute liners, filler machine spacers, depositor components, and slicer pusher plates. Parts are machined from solid food-grade sheet or HDPE rod, with radiused corners and polished contact faces where hygiene demands smooth, cleanable surfaces.
For cutting surfaces and prep benches, see our dedicated food cutting board range. This page covers the machined machine parts that keep processing equipment itself running.
Reverse-Engineering Worn OEM Parts
No drawing? Send the worn part. We measure the original geometry, correct for wear, and produce a CNC-machined replacement that matches the OEM part. The program is saved against your account, so every future reorder is identical: no re-measuring, no variation between batches, and no dependence on overseas OEM supply chains for a $60 plastic part.
Wash-Down, Hygiene, and Compliance
Food-grade HDPE withstands daily caustic and chlorinated wash-down without swelling, cracking, or leaching. It performs across the full temperature range of Australian food plants (from blast freezer rooms to hot-fill lines) and machined parts carry no coatings or laminates that could delaminate into product. Material certificates for food-contact compliance are available with every order for your QA documentation.
From One-Off Breakdowns to Standing Orders
Food machinery drawings often name Ertacetal, Ertalyte, or Tivar rather than the generic polymer. The plastic trade names cross-reference shows the food-grade material behind each brand.
We supply single breakdown parts with 1-2 day machining turnaround, full change-part kits for line upgrades, and standing scheduled orders for consumable parts like scraper blades and wear guides. Get a quote for food processing machine parts. Send a drawing, a sample part, or even a photo with dimensions, and we will price it same day.
