Acetal rod
Acetal rods offer excellent impact resistance, dimensional stability, and high mechanical strength. With natural lubricity and a hard surface, they provide durability and wear resistance in demanding applications. Their low moisture absorption ensures consistent performance, and they can withstand temperatures from -45°C to +100°C without losing strength.
Key Features
- High impact resistance and durability.
- Superior dimensional stability and surface hardness.
- Excellent dielectric strength and solvent resistance.
- Low moisture absorption for reliable performance.
- Suitable for high-temperature water applications (Copolymer grades).
Applications
Acetal rods are widely used in the food industry (though not all grades are F.D.A.-approved) and in manufacturing components like bearings, gears, bushings, and wear-resistant parts.
Polymer Types
- Homopolymer: Delrin®
- Copolymer: Celcon® / Hostaform®
