Acetal Sheet
Acetals are versatile polymers known for their excellent impact resistance, dimensional stability, and high mechanical strength. They naturally offer lubricity and an exceptionally hard surface. With low moisture absorption, their strength properties remain unaffected in various environments. Acetals also feature high dielectric strength and resistance to many solvents, making them ideal for diverse applications. Their wide working temperature range of -45°C to +100°C further enhances their usability.
Key Features
- Excellent impact resistance and durability.
- Superior dimensional stability and surface hardness.
- High dielectric strength and resistance to solvents.
- Minimal moisture absorption, ensuring consistent performance.
- Suitable for use in high-temperature water applications when using copolymer grades.
Applications
Acetals are widely used in the food industry (though not all grades are F.D.A.-approved) and for making components like bearings, gears, bushings, and wear-resistant parts.
